Endgame Arrives
After what feels like hours, you wake up.
"Ah, Spider-Man. It's about time you woke
up. It's not everyday a person is to be destroyed by their worst enemy!"
You'd recognize that voice anywhere. It
belongs to the Kingpin! He laughs loudly and tells Landon to inform you of
the plan.
Landon nods his head and begins to speak.
"Spider-Man, obviously you were wondering why I had the Rhino and Hammerhead
steal the prototype for the Neogenic Reverser and an Iron Man glove. My reasons
behind that were because I planned to perfect the Reverser and impliment
it's technology into the glove. It would form a ray of energy that would
reverse Neogenics. While you're probably thinking I would want to test it
on myself, you are incorrect. For you see, at our last encounter, during
that whole Hobgoblin and Green Goblin mess, I discovered that your powers
must have come from Neogenics."
You ask Landon how he found out, but he ignores you.
Landon continues, "After that, I learned about Doctor Curt Conners's, A.K.A. the Lizard, prototype for a Neogenic Reverser. As you know, I became this way as a result of my tampering with the laws of Neogenics. If it weren't for the X-Men and the Hobgoblin, I wouldn't have fallen into that vat of chemicals, and transformed into a monster!"
"I hoped to find a way to cure myself. I
realized that if I did achieve in completing Conners' work, then I would
need a test subject. Naturally, I thought of you. What better way to see
if I could be cured, then to test the device on my most hated enemy! "
You say, "I thought the Hobgoblin was your
most hated enemy?"
Landon says, "The Hobgoblin?! That
pesky....No, I must put my focus at the task at hand. Where was I? Ah, yes.
When I acquired the devices, I realized that I needed Conners' help.
That's why I sent Mysterio to ESU. As you know, Conners became the Lizard.
Mysterio brought him to me, and when he woke up, I told him that I
would help him to be rid of Conners' forever. The catch was that he
had to help me with the Reverser. The Lizard jumped at the chance, and
eventually, we were finished. With Mysterio's expertise of movie magic,
I was able to fool the Lizard into thinking Conners' was destroyed."
The Kingpin interrupts Landon and says,
"And thus, I gained another ally. Landon, I tire of this. Use the glove
on Spider-Man now, so I can crush him!"
"Yes, Kingpin. The time for retribution
is at hand!"
While Landon is putting on the glove, Shocker,
Rhino, Mysterio, Hammerhead, and Lizard enter the room to watch. It takes
a few moments, but finally, Landon is ready. He stands in front of you (you're
attatched to one of those tables Smythe put you in one time) and starts to
turn on the Neogenic Reverser Ray.........
