Graduation Day (Episode 76) Written by James Krieg Originally Broadcast on September 20, 1997 It's the final episode for the X-Men. At a Mutant/Human Relations Summit, Henry Peter Gyrich attacks and cripples Professor Xavier with a psychic energy disrupter. The X-Men and Moira McTaggert try to save Xavier, but all seems lost. Morph returns from his self-imposed exile to help out by posing as Xavier on television while Wolverine, Cyclops, and Jean Grey take the fight to Magneto, who has begun to gather the world's mutants to strike back at humanity. NOTES A bunch of Marvel superheroes were supposed to do cameos to say farewell to Professor X on his deathbed. However, they seemed to have been cut out of the final version of the episode. The head of the FOX KIDS Network at the time (a man) cried after watching this episode.
